Job Description

TCG Construction is seeking a dynamic Construction Superintendent with previous residential construction experience for our Northern and Central California region. Superintendents will report directly to the Construction Manager and work with members of the project team to supervise all construction employees and vendors.

Job Summary

Provide effective and consistent supervision and management of construction work for all trades and vendors to support the requirements of the contract and TCG Construction policies while delivering the project with TCG Construction’s standard of quality, safety, and schedule adherence. Communication, team building, problem solving and leadership are key characteristics. The role will require travel to various job sites in California.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 years in a construction leadership role (Required)
• Driver’s License – reliable transportation is a MUST (Required)
• College Degree a plus

 Experience Required:

• 3+ years of construction leadership experience. 5+ years of construction experience. Residential construction experience a plus, multifamily construction even better
• Ability to create and maintain project schedule utilizing a Gantt chart
• Strong personnel management experience, leading teams of 5-50 employees
• Computer savvy and capable of effectively utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, and various web-based applications
• Dynamic leadership with exceptional organization and communication skills (oral and written)
• Knowledge of various construction trades and ability to guide teams through scope of work completion

 Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage construction related work at residential properties overseeing construction workers and sub-contractors
• Seamless communication with the Construction Manager
• Manage and track material ordering and receiving
• Manage and communicate scheduling of project
• Manage multiple projects at different job sites
• Conduct construction inspections with building department officials
• Manage conformity to TCG Construction quality standards
• Be observant that the progress of the project is meeting scheduled completion dates. Proactively manage the work flow to ensure adherence to the master schedule
• Manage jobsite safety
• Maintain timely and accurate job site documentation
• Maintain a professional attitude and demeanor at all times
• Manage completion of punch lists in a timely manner

• Candidates must have a valid California Driver License and a clean driving record. All final candidates will be subject to a Fitness for Duty Test, Drug Screen, Motor Vehicle Report, and a Criminal Background Check prior to hiring
